there's something really special...

...about shooting a wedding for friends that I knew from childhood. Fun fact: I met this beautiful bride, Camryn, back in elementary school. We actually met by playing basketball against one another, and I was so intimidated that there was a girl who was actually as tall as me! Isn't it crazy to think that over a decade later, I was given the opportunity to capture her gorgeous wedding on this sunny day in June? I love this little life.

Many moons after those elementary school days, I was able to capture some engagement photos of Camryn and Jorden. We had such a fun time poking around Philly, and it was great to catch up with Camryn and get to know Jorden. Not long after, they had asked me to be their wedding photographer and I couldn't have been more stoked!

Wedding Day

The wedding took place at Richland Golf Club in Middletown, MD. A gorgeous location that I truly didn't know existed, despite having grown up so close by. We had perfect 80° weather with lots of sunshine and clear skies. The couple didn't need full coverage for the day, so we jumped right into the first look and some bride and groom portraits.

Phew! Did you make it this far? There were too many goodies to pick from! After we dedicated some time for just the two of them, we jumped right into bridal party and family photos. I love that a first look allows you to get these photos done prior to the ceremony.

After formal photos, I was able to capture a few details prior to the ceremony. Later, Camryn and Jorden were able to greet guests and enjoy their cocktail hour. A mixture of sweet moments to share here!

After entrances for the reception, Camryn and Jorden shared their first dance. I got some of my favorite shots here - truly one of the most genuine moments throughout the day. Look at their love for each other.

After this beautiful first dance, dinner was served, the cake was cut, and the party began! A quick and honest plug for The Dapper DJ's too - literally the best experience I've witnessed at a wedding so far. I was out there shooting AND jamming! All the vibes we needed.

I honestly feel so lucky to have these opportunities. As I have said so many times and will continue to say: thank you Camryn and Jorden for trusting me in capturing one of the best days of your lives. I appreciate you both and I am so incredibly happy for you two.

The year is only halfway over and I am feeling so fulfilled. The little girl in me who was interested in a camera couldn't have ever dreamed of growing a business and getting to a point of shooting weddings one day. You all are truly amazing, and thank you x10000 for your endless support.
